German Quidditch League Final 2018

The highlight of the German Quidditch season 2017/18 is coming!

We have put together all the important information about the tournament.

What is the German Quidditch League Final?
The German Quidditch League Final (formerly EQCQ) is the most important tournament of the Quidditch season, in which the best 20 teams from all over Germany participate. Eight teams can qualify for the European Quidditch Cup this year (EQC Division 1 & 2).

The EQC is similar to the Champions League in football. This tournament takes place every year. 

When and where does the German Quidditch League Final 2018 take place?
The tournament will take place on the weekend of 13./14. October 2018 on the grounds of the Post-Südstadt Karlsruhe. There will be Quidditch between 9am and 6pm on both days of the tournament.

How can I watch it?
All spectators are welcome! Admission is free.
There will also be two livestreams.
One of them on the YouTube channel of Ruhr Phoenix TV

Here you can follow exciting matches from home. 

How does the tournament system work? 
In the group stage on saturday, four groups of five teams each (see chart) will play for who enters the Upper Bracket, ie enters the finals. This takes place on sunday and includes eighth, quarter and semi-final and the grand finale for the title. For the eliminated teams the tournament is not over either, because all places are played out.
