Darmstadt Athenas took to last weekend's German Championship 2018 to reward themselves with the first tournament victory since 2015. In a enthralling final they won over previous champion Three River Dragons Passau.

Featuring 27 teams from all over the country, last weekend's German Championship 2018 in Frankfurt was the largest German quidditch tournament so far. Last year's champions Three River Dragons Passau had to admit defeat against the Athenas and came in as runner-up.
